Cleon A. Tyler, 83, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband of Dorothy (Weir) Tyler died Saturday, (June 14, 2003) at Hartford Hospital. Born and raised in Rocky Hill he was the son of the late Adrian and Daisy (Evans) Tyler. Mr Tyler was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II. He was a Foreman for the Connecticut Foundry until his retirement in 1981. He was a proud and devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Rocky Hill, and help rebuild and remodel the church over the years, including the altar and bell tower. He was an avid bowler, participating in the Berlin Wednesday Night League and the Wethersfield Senior Citizens Bowl-O-Rama. He was also a member of the American Legion. Besides his wife he leaves, eight sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Sharon Tyler of Hampton, Eric and Mary Tyler of Breckenridge, CO, Clyde Tyler of Rocky Hill, Neal and Tammy Tyler of Canon City, CO, Theodore Tyler of Enfield, Aaron and Nancy Tyler of Marlborough, Keith and Marilyn Tyler of West Hartford, and Paul and Dawn Tyler of Somers; 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, 511 Brook Street, Rocky Hill followed by services in the United Methodist Church, 626 Old Main Street, Rocky Hill at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ronald B. Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Rocky Hill, with full Military Honors. Relatives and Friends may call TODAY from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Gifts in his memory may be made to the United Methodist Church of Rocky Hill.
