I had the great pleasure of serving with Cliff as fellow Army reservists and I found him to be an effervescent soul with boundless optimism. And a hearty laugh to boot, Army pun intended. We exchanged Christmas cards for years and sadly that was the only communication we had; I should have tried harder to stay in touch.
