Not sure what to say?

Cliff Braun took a meeting with me when I was fresh out of college. He was the most intimidating person to meet with -- until you got to know him -- which was immediately. As I was walking out of his office he said, "Why are you using this professor as a reference?" I mentioned that he was head of the department, etc. Cliff replied, "Drop him from your resume. He doesn't like you." I kept taking his advice and he never steered me wrong. Thank you Cliff for so much. I will always be grateful...

Cliff and his first wife, Marcy, gave me my start in the broadcasting business in Chicago. They were true icons. I learned so much from them.

With the utmost respect he was called The Silver Fox. A rarity in program directors, he actually had directed television and fully knew the challenges facing a production crew in bringing fresh, worthwhile programming to the screen. Simply put, he was the best program director I ever had, and it was his enthusiastic support and applause that encouraged us to do our very best. Thank you for being in my life, Cliff.

My hearfelt sympathy to his family,
Bill Jackson

" A mensch" That's how I'll always remember Cliff..God bless him
may he rest in peace.

Cliff was the ultimate professional.
In my 45 years at ABC there is no one
that I respected more.
Your the best Cliff!!

Cliff was a loyal friend and mentor to many people who worked for him. His interest in our lives and careers lasted his whole life. He aimed us at perfection, but was understanding when we fell short. He was always encouraging and gave us the confidence to do it our way, because we all knew he had our back. He will always remain in our hearts.

Cliff was a great friend and mentor who had a great impact not only on my life and profession but also on the growth of Chicago broadcast and corporate television. He will be greatly missed by the myriad of friends whose life he had touched. Our condolences and love to his wife Nancy.

Daddy, you are my hero. I love you, Donna
