Condolences Sharron and family for your loss. What a wonderful mentor, boss and respected man he was to me and family. I cherish the memories of him in my early career years as his assistant unit forester and as a forest practices forester. He will be missed.

I met Cliff as a young forester while working for Willamette Industries. Cliff was a natural...seemed all things came easy for him. He guided me on my first slash burn...went like a charm. He was a great proponent of fire readiness...I vividly remember his advice to "make water up high", as in higher elevations. I always enjoyed being around Cliff. He was a good guy and I'm glad I knew him.

From the officers and members of The American Legion, Forest Grove Post 2, we extend our sincere condolences to the family of our departed member.

Sharon and family, please accept my condolences at Cliff´s passing. I need to correct my earlier post as you will have seen. We crossed paths in Forest Grove not in Coos Bay. My mind betrays me sometimes.

Cliff was my boss for three years on the Elliott Forest in Coos Bay. He was a good boss riding herd over an enthusiastic group of young foresters. We connected again in the Society of American Forester meetings when he retired to northwest Oregon. My condolences to his family.

We send our sympathy and prayers , Sharon, and your family. Cliff was a great guy
