CLIFFORD FACKLER, age 89, of Lakes of the Four Seasons, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017. He was born in Fort Wayne on May 18, 1928 to the late Gerhard and Edna Fackler. Clifford served in the United States Army and was a mathematics teacher at Hobart High School and Merrillville High School after graduating from Indiana University. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart where he was very involved. For many years Clifford enjoyed bike riding. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly (nee Schau); 2 sons, Neil Alan (Kim) Fackler, Apple Valley, MN and Jeff M. Fackler, Walnut Creek, CA; grandson, Colin Fackler, Apple Valley, MN; brother, William (Mary) Fackler, Mason, OH; sister, Phyllis Stair, Fort Wayne; brother-in-law, Ben Deck, Kankakee, IL; many nieces and nephews.

Clifford was also preceded in death by his sister, Caroline Deck.

Memorial contributions are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church.

A funeral service for Clifford will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 Luther Dr., Hobart, with Rev. Nathan Kramer officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart with additional visitation on Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. For information please call (219) 942-2109 or go online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
