Not sure what to say?

My heartfelt condolences to Sen Trow´s family and to all who knew and loved this gentle giant of a man. I knew him for my entire political career, as he welcomed me to service leading the Commission for Women and later, in my work for public education. I know he was a mentor to so many of us, and much beloved. I feel fortunate to learn from his leadership and heart. RIP, Cliff.

Diane Merten extends respect and appreciation for all that Cliff and Jo Anne accomplished together. I am sorry I was out of town and unable to attend the service this morning. To the family and friends: may the Lord Jesus Christ help bring a sense of peace to your hearts. With love and gratitude for all that was contributed to Oregon in so many ways, Diane Frischknecht Merten

We are saddened by Cliff´s passing and extend our heartfelt condolences. I worked for Senator Trow during a legislative session in the early 80s. He was a kind, caring and patient friend and mentor. He touched the lives of so many people. Debi and I were blessed by our friendship with Cliff and Jo Anne.

TO our most Honorable mentor, friend and public service leader, Cliff Trow, your passing away has been a superb big loss to us and you will be remembered in our heart forever. Message sent gracefully from Peter Leung

TO our most Honorable Public Services Leader, friend, professor, ... Cliff Trow, your passing is a big loss to all of us in the Corvallis area. We will remember you in our heart forever!!!!

I knew Cliff at OSU, toward the end of tenure. Although I never took one of his classes, I volunteered on Cliff's final two campaigns. That was a good investment for a good man and great friend of education, OSU specifically.

Hey, he was a good man. Was a student in his classes during the late 60's. He made Oregon a better place and my life richer for having known him.

I had the pleasure to be in Professor Trow's seminar on Latin American history. What a great teacher! Between him and Glenn Dealy in the Political Science department OSU had the the strongest cluster of Latin Americanists in its entire history.

Cliff was very special. I appreciated most his advice. He was never shy of telling me when I had "egg on my face". He was my mentor.
