Cliff Watkins was nothing short of a true gentleman and scholar. I had the pleasure of working with Cliff when he was employed at KOIN-TV as their 5 & 6 PM meteorologist/weather anchor back in 1971-73. To have had this opportunity and to have leaned a lot about atmospheric science from a true expert like himself was like receiving an extra degree in the science because of the wealth of his knowledge he shared as I was new to the business and just getting started.
