Not sure what to say?

Professor Wright was an excellent human being, a mentor and a devout catholic. I still recall the last time we had lunch in 2022 at Mr Ed's Oyster place whereby we all discussed my professional life. He thought me to become a CPA and made me love accounting at Xavier South! He is surely missed.

Mark, We were so saddened to hear about the recent passing of your father. Marilyn and I along with my staff hope that you and your family find comfort in knowing that you have friends who are thinking of and praying for you all during this season. Blessings, Francis

My sincere condolences to the family. Mr. Wright made a positive impact on the lives of so many students at Xavier University. He was caring, kind and encouraging. He inspired us to reach higher, try harder and to persevere. His memory will live on in the lives of his students. Class of `73

Dr. Wright, or, "Cliff", as he graciously allowed me to address him, was the main reason for my professional success. As part of his first Accounting class at XU, Cliff instilled confidence in me and allowed me to master my accounting acumen. My most fond memory of Cliff occurred a few years ago when he allowed me to have lunch with him and said to me in Houston´s on St. Charles Ave , that no student had ever taken him to lunch in over 40 years of teaching. WOW! I will miss my friend and...

He taught me to love accounting and the way he taught the subject no other person had such a technique or craft as wonderful as his .., Rest in peace because your assignment on earth has been completed...To God be the glory!!!! Peace. Gwendolyn W Terrel c/o `78 @ Xavier University of Louisiana

With deepest sympathy to The Wright Family. As a longtime parishioner of St. Benilde and a former organist, I truly enjoyed my association with Cliff. I loved his homilies and his devotion to God and our Parish, for many years. He will be missed by missed by so many, being the unique individual he was. He was always so kind to me and everyone. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Sincerely, Larry Caillouet
