Heavens' Garden
Whilst working in Heavens' garden, to make a great design...
Try sowing seed of goodness of each and every kind.
Pretty, white roses, for His Altar, clean as the driven snow...
Red roses for the walkway, for the blood he shed, long ago.
Pink carnations for the piety, we need to show our Christ today...
Just sow flower seed aplenty, all across life's way.
Yellow roses for the sunshine, from Heaven He doth give to all...
And Blue azaleas' for the...

BENEATH HIS WINGS
Beneath His wings I can travel all over, this world and Heaven above,
It's so simple, I just believe He's my Savior, and He fills my heart with love.
I'm beneath His Wing in times of trouble, sorrow and woe,
In times of joy and gladness, in my work, and all the places that I go.
The feeling is so joyous, that through pain and all, He's there holding me up,
Beneath His wing it's all possible, through his choosing to drink from the bitter cup.
He...

As We Journey Onward
Sometimes the old Cross for Jesus is very heavy to bear,
But I find it fits’ just perfect, for all who really care,
About His sacrifice and abounding, Holy love,
Somewhere up yonder, up beyond the sky above.
Journey onward soldiers of the cross, He will do well with thee,
He gave His beloved life for the likes of you and me,
Go that extra mile, into another country give,
To someone who knows not our Lord and how, He doth forgive.
I...

A Peaceful Walk
There's a little path
Going down in the field,
It leads into the forest
Which offers it a shield
The path will fade
As the leaves take over
The stillness there,
Is like none other
The silence of the trees
The stillness of the air
The nature all around
Is what God sent us to share!
A little farther down the way,
Is a parting, and a little brook
Where water flows so gently
Figures dance in it, if you only...

Back in 1932, I was 32 years old and a fairly new husband. My wife, Nettie and
I were living in a little apartment on Chicago's Southside. One hot August
afternoon I had to go to St. Louis, where I was to be the featured soloist at a
large revival meeting. I didn't want to go. Nettie was in the last month of
pregnancy with our first child. But a lot of people were expecting me in St. Louis.
I kissed Nettie good-bye, Clattered downstairs to our Model A and, in a fresh
Lake...

Death is nothing at all...
I have only slipped away to the next room...
I am I and you are you...
Whatever we were to each, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak it to me in the same way you always used.
Put no difference into your tone,
Wear no false air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it...
