WALLACE, Clifton F., 81, of Mechanicsville, was carried by the Angels on Friday, November 11, 2011. He was the son of the late Bob and Josie Cliborne Wallace and was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce A. Wallace; a son, Dale Wallace; a daughter, Cindy Wallace Brown; grandchildren, Kimberly Wallace, Becky Winstead, Cliff Wallace Jr. (Stacy), Phillip Jones, Kati Jones; ten great- grandchildren; brothers, Robert Wallace (Ercelle), Harold Wallace, Freeman Wallace (June), Spencer Wallace (Carolyn); sister, Brenda Ellingsworth. He served in the Army and afterwards he worked as an engineer for VDOT, retiring after 40 years. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Signal Hill.
