Mr. Clinton Ray (Clint) Daniels, 68 of 981 Laurie Ellis Road, Winterville passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday September 30th, at 4 PM, at Good Hope FWB Church, Winterville. The family will receive visitors before the service from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the church.
Mr. Clint was born and raised in Pitt County and attended the local public schools of Winterville/Greenville, North Carolina.
After graduating high school, Clint attended Pitt Community College and obtained several trade skills. His advanced training came in handy as Clint applied his learning to farming the lands of Winterville. During his career, Clint became employed by local agricultural farmers to include the Brock, the Allen, and the McLawhorn families. He was a hard worker and devoted to serving others. Clint also enjoyed sketching and drawing in his free time. In the early 80s, Clint fell in love and married Shelia Wilson of Ayden. Together, they had a baby girl that they adored. Later in life, Clint met his life partner, Helen Layton of Washington. Clint and Helen dedicated their life to hospitality services with the Brock and the Allen families.
Clint was preceded in death by his father, William Cannon, and sisters, Brenda Kearse and Barbara A. Daniels.
Clint is survived by his daughter, Lakesha Daniels Edwards and husband, Starr of Greenville; mother, Shirley Ann Daniels of Winterville; four brothers, Ricky Cannon of Richmond, VA, Anthony Daniels of Ayden, Gregory Daniels of Greenville, and Donyea Daniels of Wendell; and three sisters, Debora Daniels of Greenville, Jacqueline Daniels and Mary E. Daniels of Winterville; three grandchildren, Nykeria Daniels, Malik Daniels, and Daniel Edwards of Greenville; one great grandson, Zoemari Cannon of Greenville; and one aunt, Mary L. Daniels of Winterville, a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and family friends.
