I met Bud about 24 years ago when I started my career with Portland Fire & Rescue. My first assignment was at the Training Center, which was where Bud was finishing out his 31-year career with PF&R. Even though we only worked together for about 6 months so many years ago, Bud left a lasting impression on me and I was saddened to hear of his passing.
I was new to the fire service in 1996 and had no familiarity with it. Bud generously passed on some of his fire service knowledge to me. ...
