Clinton Dewey deWitt

Clint was our friend and accountant for years, and a fellow cancer sufferer for the past 6 years. We shared a lot and he was a source of strength. He's greatly missed.

To Clinton's Family: We were on vacation in PA when we got the phone call telling us that Clinton had passed. Clinton and I were supposed to go to lunch at the end of July because he said the crazy tax season would be over by then and he could relax a little. Clinton has done our taxes for over 25 years. I want to extend my sympathy to you. Clinton prepared my taxes for over 20 years. He was able to make what started out as an event that created anxiety and dread to an annual meeting that was more like visiting a friend. I actually looked forward to our tax meeting. I am a self employed realtor and keeping track of my deductible expenses was something in which I was not proficient. Clinton helped me become more organized with these records. I...

Our sincere condolences to the family. Condolences come from me and my parents Bob and Charlene Thurmond. We only found out today and it came as a sad shock. We have known Clint since 1980 (I was only 5); it feels like I have lost an uncle. My father and Clint became fast friends after they met. Clint was the family CPA for the last 28 years, the only one I’ve ever had. He will be greatly missed by our entire family.

I was a client of Clint's for 29 years, and will miss the dry wit he never failed to display, regardless of the state of his health. I greatly admired the quiet courage with which he fought his long fight against cancer.

Clinton was such a valiant warrior against this terrible disease. He bravely fought on for Mary and Jon, his family, friends and clients.
Every year my house would look as if a twister went through, getting ready for taxes. He would indulgently ask if there were something I had inadvertantly omitted and this was on April 14th!!
He was very private about his fight but loved all the Calvert Hall games and music in supporting the school and his son. He never forgave Western Maryland for...
