My deepest sympathy to the Simpson family. Pookie and I were childhood friends and playmates until I moved to Michigan in 1955. I'm uncle Freeman's stepson and just learned of his passing.

I was truly saddened and shocked to hear of Mr. Simpson's passing recently. I had sat down to speak with him last month as I hadn't seen him in almost 2 years. I could never forget my first and only Barber instructor. We had many laughs, a few tears but never a harsh word was spoken. He was so proud of me when I got my Barber's license and I continued to work at the shop for over 2 years.The memories made there will never be forgotten by me. I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Clint. He was a friend and personal barber to my husband Amos (dec'd 1/23/14) for many years. He also cut my son's hair. It was always a pleasure to go to his shop, because he made you feel so comfortable. You will be missed Clint, thanks for being a good friend to my husband and our family while we were there.
