BROOKS, Clora "Eileen" - Of Flint, age 84, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at her daughter's residence in Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral service will be held at 12Noon Saturday, April 26, 2008, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Mr. Gary Turner officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee or a charity of one's choice. Visitation 6-9PM Friday and 10AM Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Clora was born in Hayti, Missouri on September 25, 1923, the daughter of the late William and Nora (Bizzell) Sanders. On December 26, 1941 she married Lawrence E. Brooks in Missouri and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1994. Clora resided in Flint from 1955 until 2003 when she moved to Noblesville, Tennessee and then moved to Nashville, TN in late 2006. Clora attended Bristol Road church of Christ, Flint and Green Valley Church of Christ, Noblesville, IN. Her life revolved around her family. Surviving are children, Gordon Brooks and Dianne Maccary of Pasadena, CA, Jack and Charlene Brooks, Pomona, MO, Dan and Paula Brooks of Durand, MI, William and Ellen Brooks of Noblesville, IN, Kathy and Charles Gross of Richardson, TX, Phyllis and Greg Bachus of Nashville, TN, Casey (Kelly) and Linda Brooks, of Gainesville, GA, David and Darlene Brooks of Flushing, MI, Connie and Brian Lintz of Lewisburg, TN; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 3 more expected soon; 1 great-great-grandson; sister, Pauline Hilton of Oxford, MS., 4 sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins; She was also preceded in death by daughter, Julia Ann Brooks in 1969. To all the family of Eileen, IM so sorry about the loss of your mom. She was always so nice to me and talked with me often at church. I lost my mom in April of 2006 and still miss her so much.
