Cloys L. McAteer, age 76, of Camden died Wednesday, December 22nd at the Ouachita County Medical Center. He was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a licensed auctioneer and owner of C&M Antique Shop. He was retired from International Paper Company.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Sanders McAteer; his son, Todd McAteer, and his wife, Cathy; and two granddaughters, Katelynn Elizabeth and Kinley Grace McAteer, all of Camden. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harve and Cattie Boswell McAteer; seven brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery at Bluff City. Bro. Charles Simpson, Bro. Joe Morell, Bro. Greg Sanders, and Bro. Danny Sikes will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. unt6il 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 1674 Maul Road, Camden, AR 71701. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. So sorry to hear of your loss. I believe my dad, Gerald Green, worked with Mr. McAteer at IP...I know for sure that he thought a lot of him. I knew him through auctions and junk!!! He was always a pleasure to know and deal with. We'll all miss him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
