Clyde L. Avants Sr.

My sympathy is expressed to Clyde's family, who will miss him so much. Clyde's mother and my mother were sisters, but I wasn't very close to him as there was about twenty years difference in our ages. Also, his family lived in Harahan while my family lived in Mississippi until coming to Baton Rouge. I did find Clyde to always be kind, and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing his "New Orleans" accent! I am so glad that he was able to attend the 2006 Clark-Kirkland Family Reunion at the Mars Hill...

Tommy and family, Leonard and I are keeping you all in our thoughts and pray that the Lord comfort you in this great time of sorrow. Your father was precious and will be missed.

June & I will miss seeing Uncle Clyde at the family functions. Our prayers are with his boys. we are thankful that his death was quick and painless, or almost so.
