Clyde J. Bellis, 94, of Wind Gap, passed away, Monday, May 19, 2025, at Walden III, Wind Gap. 


Born in Pen Argyl, March 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Perry C. and Emily (Grigg) Bellis. 


Clyde was a 1949 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and he honorably served our country in the United States Airforce as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged in May 1953.


Prior to retiring, Clyde was employed as a lineman for Met Ed, prior to that he was employed by the Toll Bridge Commission and the Lehigh & New England Railroad.  Following his retirement he worked part time at ACE Hardware, Bangor. 


Clyde led a fulfilling life and always did what he wanted.  He was a Firefighter, Archery Champ, Quoit Champ and loved to ride high wheel bikes, hunt, fish and baseball.  He coached Little League Baseball.  


He was a 50 year member of Pen Argyl Lodge #594 F. & A.M.


Clyde is survived by five sons, Roy Bellis and his wife Millie of Plainfield Township, Brad Bellis and his wife Kim of Mechanicsburg, Chris Bellis and his wife Heather of East Allen Township, Allen Predmore and his wife Lori of Wind Gap and Lee Predmore and his wife Claudia of Bethlehem, sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren a sister Nancy Kaiser and her husband David of Pen Argyl, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 


He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Charlene B. Bellis in 2018, a son Guy Bellis in 1998 and a sister Shirley Haydt in 2007.


Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 12 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, PA.  There will be a visitation beginning at 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home.  Interment will be private at Wind Gap Cemetery, Plainfield Township, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered in Clyde’s name to Mount Eaton Church, 7277 Mount Eaton Road, Saylorsburg, PA 18353.

My sincere condolences. What a wonderful person he was! I knew Clyde from the archery shop up near Camelback. I shot many arrows and had many nice conversations with him. The world was a better place with him in it!

My condolences to the families. I remember Clyde and his wife from Flemish Archery. They where always friendly. Clyde shot bows with my husband.and Clyde received a clock in 2006 in memory of my husband Dick.from Flemish Archery. May Clyde rest in peace with our Lord.
