Not sure what to say?

Margaret and family: I had just dropped Lucy's letter to you in the mail box and went to pick up our mail. Saw you letter and was so happy to receive it. It wasn't the best news and I was shocked in disbelief that my best friend and mentor has left us. Yes he left us only physically but his spirit, generosity, love, hearty laugh, his kindness and concern for family and friends will always be with us. He has helped so many with his wisdom and caring ways that we are grateful and thankful to be...

I remember walking into Clyde & Margaret's lovely home on the creek bordering the park to deliver Clyde's first banjo lesson. That was about 30 years ago.
Somewhere between then and now were fishing on the Chickasaw, a couple of beach trips to Hammond, many celebrations and lots of Music!

Clyde had a fine singing voice as well as command of a fleet of harmonicas and, of course, his banjo. And Nobody Ever made better Lox!

We will all miss Clyde, but as with other...

I only met with Mr Brummell twice. I have his book which he signed for me. My condolences to the family.

Clyde was a wonderful man, so full of energy and varied interested. He first contacted us some 36 years ago and since then we have been so lucky to spend time with him and his family both in the US and the UK. We and our family treasure the memories and are sad at his passing. Our condolences to Margaret.

My deepest condolences to your family. I have to think that Mr. Brummell knew my Mother, Frances Stone, back in Klamath Falls those many years ago. 'Mom' was a little older, but KF in those days wasn't much more than a 'wide spot' in the road.
I served with VMFA-115 in Vietnam forty years ago. Semper Fi, and best wishes to all.

Sorry to hear of Clyde's passing. I first mer Clyde in 1966 when I came to Portland, He was interested in my Uncle's farm land in Happy Valley, My Uncle chose someone else to develop his property but often told me he regretted not dealing with Clyde. Always a fine and honest man and a great Marine. We will all miss him.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I grew up in Sellwood and went to school 2nd to 6th grade.
My only real close interaction with Mr. Brummel was during the Columbus day storm. I was at the A&W and when the wind started picking up I decided to ride my bike home before it got worse. Clyde was out rounding up every kid he could find. He took me and my bike home to my house on 8th and Tacoma. S.Eckles [email protected]

Clyde seldom had time within his busy schedule to participate in the activities of the Studebaker Drivers Club. But we were always pleased when he consistently renewed his club mambership throughout the 1990's and through 2005. It was always a treat to see his 1962 Studebaker Pickup prowling the streets around Sellwood. Bob Williams, Newsletter Editor, SDC

Sorry to hear of the passing of Clyde Brummell. My father, Russell Dahl, knew Clyde well from their days at Johnson Construction. I met Clyde many times and just the other day I looked up Brummell Construction in the phone book to see how Clyde was doing. I remember Mr. Brummell as a real fun fellow. Sincerely, Doug Dahl 503 246-2264.
