Not sure what to say?

Clyde Hodges is the kindest human I have ever known. I am very thankful to have known him and to have been able to spend the time I did with him. He was truly such an example of what it means to be a friend, a neighbor, a parent..and just a kind person. I hope that everyone who was lucky enough to know him, or to have met him, will try to live by his example. His spirit will continue to work its magic that way.

For some time I have had the fleeting thought I needed to write about my feelings for this wonderful person but, in doing so, I would have to admit it would mean he might not be with me forever. There was no way I was going to entertain the thought that someday my “Buddy” would no longer be at the end of my telephone line reaching over to Hopkins Road. But that dreaded day did come on August 1st and any objection and denial from me wouldn’t change that reality. I have lost the best friend...

To all that loved (Uncle)Clyde,
He was a very special person. There will always be a special place in my heart for him. Donna is getting the hugs now.I know how special he was to her too...

What a pleasure to have met Mr. Hodges. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.

My Dear friends
We met MR Hodges one time this summer.
He was the type of person who stands out as a special light in a dark sky.
May God bless his memory and his Family

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
I will be keeping your family in my prayers.

To Clyde's family-
Please accept our deepest sympathies in your loss--Clyde was a very special man with great talent and much to teach which he did with enormous patience. He always took such great joy in what he was doing, no matter what it was and always made a person feel like they were part of his family. We will miss him terribly and regret that our children will not be able to know firsthand what a wonderful person he was. May God bless you & keep you strong.
