LAPISH, Clyde L. – Of Flint, age 83, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at Maple Place.



 



Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.



 



Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.



 



In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.



 



Visitation 1-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.



 


A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home by the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge.



 



Clyde was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina on November 16, 1934, the son of the late Cloyd and Blanche (Godfrey) Lapish.



He graduated from A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis, North Carolina in 1953.



He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956, Air National Guards in Charlotte, North Carolina, 1952-1954.



 



On November 30, 1990 he married Sandra Boyce in Grand Blanc.



He retired from the Flint Metal Fabricating Plant on March 1, 1992, with 33 years of service.



 



He was Past Master of Flint Lodge #23 in 1996, Past Monarch of Kishma Grotto, 1994 & 1995; Past President of the Michigan Western Ontario Grotto Association, 2000 and Past President of Circus Park Shrine Club 2002 & 2008.



 



He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, golfing and watching NASCAR on television and also enjoyed working at the Grotto.



 



Surviving are wife, Sandra;



 



children, Johnny C. (Jody) Lapish and Jan C. (Todd) Kraemer;



 



step-children, Richard (Cyndy) Brown and Donna (Greg) Zellar;



 



grandchildren, Kalyn Lapish, Johnny M. Lapish,



Callie (Tyler) Cookson,



Jared Kraemer,



Jeremy Brown,



Melissa Brown,



Brittanie (Chad) Martin,



Courtney (Chris) Walter,



Tyler (Shelby) Zellar and



Parker Zellar;



 



great-grandchildren, Makenzi Crockett, Cooper Cookson, Joshua Herbin, Emma Brown, Ashlynn Zellar and Jack Martin;



 



sisters-in-law, Carolyn Lapish and Gae Cooper;



several nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by father, mother and wife, Nancy Lapish; granddaughter, Jenna C. Kraemer and brother, Bob Lapish.

Sandy--so sorry. I think of you often.

Our thoughts and prayers to the entire family. Clyde was one of the stars of the many stories I would hear from my Mom and Dad. Thinking of Clyde and my dad, Roy Mason together again in heaven.

The Lapish Family I am so sorry that I was unable to attend the Memorial service.
I knew Clyde for a long time in the Masons, Wonderful Man and Brother with a GREAT many
stories to relate, my HEART FELT SYMPATHY TO THE ENTIRE FAMILY.

I am so sorry Sandy...I am going to miss Clyde telling me stories and once he got going his accent was so stronge that l couldn't understand him half the time but l just laughed along with him....my condolences to you and the family.
