Besides being a terrific guy, always upbeat and cheerful, I will never forget his sense of humor and all the "hugs" I received nor will I forget that he always asked me if I couldn't "jazz it up" in reference to whatever song I would be playing in church that morning. Love to all the family. I know he's already started the rounds in Heaven! I'm looking forward to seeing him (and Avon) there; it may be sooner than later if the Lord does not tarry!

I knew Clyde when I was pastor at Fairfield First Baptist Church in the 1980s. He, along with Avon, were wonderful people. He took me one year to stand on the sidelines at the AL TN game. It was great and Alabama won! Clyde was a great Christian and beloved person.
