Pittsburg Funeral Chapel - Pittsburg Obituary

Clyde Miles passed away unexpectedly on Sunday due to a heart attack. He was a generous man with a heart of gold and an amazing husband, father, and friend. His smile lit up every room and he was loved by all who knew him. Clyde was a resident of Alamo, Ca, a member of Roundhill Country Club and a parishioner at St. Mary's Church.

Clyde was born and raised in Antioch, California and graduated from Antioch High School, where he was on the golf team.

He began working as a carpenter at 17 years old for Rainbow Homes and soon became a superintendent. In 1994, he started his own framing company, Clyde Miles Construction, which grew into residential homebuilding and development. Clyde was most proud of the work he did for St. Mary’s School & Parish, Christ the King Church, and St. Stephen’s Church.

He was proud of his Italian heritage and like so many friends and relatives, he spent his summers commercial fishing in Alaska.

Clyde met his beloved wife Stephanie at Lone Tree Golf Course and it was love at first sight. They married 17 months later and he was a devoted husband for nearly 30 years. He was a dedicated father to Ashley and Brandon, and loved attending their plays, sporting events, recitals, and school functions.

He enjoyed playing golf, hunting ducks, and traveling, but most of all he loved spending time at home barbequing for his family and friends. As an avid sports fan, he attended many A’s, Raiders, and Warriors games, but especially loved watching golf and tennis.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife Stephanie Seeno-Miles, his two children Ashley and Brandon, his sister Sharon Grillo, his father-in-law Tom (Norine) Seeno, his sister-in-law Suzanne (Rob) Knoll, and his nieces and nephews Garrett (Gina) Grillo, Caprisa Grillo, Brittany Knoll, and Robbie Knoll.

He is preceded in death by his father Clyde E. Miles, Sr., his beloved mother Angelina Lomanto Miles, and his brother-in-law Mike Grillo.

A special thank you to all our family and friends who have offered their prayers and support during this difficult time.

A Rosary will be held at 11:30am followed by a funeral liturgy at 12:00pm at Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Donations in Clyde’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.

Stephanie, Ashley and Brandon. I´m so sorry and saddened to hear this news just today. May your wonderful memories of Clyde carry you through.

“Stephanie and Family, I am very sorry to hear about the sudden loss of Clyde. " I am sorry for your loss" never seems like enough. I enjoyed working with him on numerous projects at St Mary's and Christ the King with Father Paulson. I know he did a lot of this out of the goodness of his heart. In this, he showed me the importance of giving back. He was a great guy. Wishing you peace in the months and years ahead.
