There are no words to adequately express my heartfelt love for my Uncle Clyde. He was always so very loving and such a wonderful Christian. He lived his faith and was always willing to be so helpful whenever and wherever he felt needed. I will always miss his loving caring ways and his precious smiles.

I've known Clyde my whole life. He and my dad were great friends from before I was born.
My dad would greet Clyde with a hearty, Mr. Nelson! when Clyde would come over to visit. And Clyde just radiated kindness and this absolute joy for life. A generosity of spirit all his own.

Clyde always had a way of putting a bright, positive perspective to a situation others might perceive as negative. He saw the best in people. He was one of the most generous and kind persons I will ever meet, and would go out of his way to help in any way he could.

Clyde was one of the warmest and kindest people I have had the privilege of knowing. His exuberance was infectious and available to everyone. There was never a time before Clyde's kindness was part of my life, and I know I am enriched from it. This loss has been felt hard, but I am struck by how joyful I feel, merely thinking of what it is like to know Clyde. Clyde and Jane genuinely are my and all of my siblings' godparents.
