Not sure what to say?

I wish you all God's grace and Comfort. Mr. and Mrs. Smith were very influential in my life as a young person and I have many good memories of Mission Trips and many other NDUMC activities. They always had time for all of us. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He made the world a better place. With warmest regards and love, Anna

I´m 61 years old and yet I feel the need to call him Mr. Smith and not Clyde. A great man who earned your respect. I have known his family pretty much my whole life. He was a faithful church attendee at my same church. At times throughout my younger years he was my Boy Scout leader, my Sea Explorer leader, and my Soccer Coach. Most importantly, an adult I considered a friend. He will be deeply missed.

I'm saddened to hear of Mr. Smith's passing and extend my condolences to the Smith family. I fondly remember our Sea Explorer trips to Cumberland Island and how he made nerding out over the Commodore VIC 20 and 64 seem so cool! His calm and genuine interest in others was truly inspiring. Reading his obituary, I reflect on the remarkable life he led, and I'm grateful to have known him.

I did not know Mr. Smith, and although I´ve yet to meet David, he has become someone I think of as a friend vis social media. His posted photos of his parents showed their mutual adoration for and deep commitment to each other. Clyde clearly was a stellar human being and no doubt his family loved him dearly. My deepest condolences for this huge loss to all of his family. "Memories abound and grief abates."

Papa was the best person I could have ever asked for as a grandparent. He raised amazing sons, with David being my father, another amazing father as papa was. One of my dearest memories is simple, just asking about his extraordinary life. You´ve only read a handful of his life´s achievements. You weren´t able to read just how he truly was as a grandfather to me. I will never forget him, and I can only hope and pray to be the man he was.

I have so many memories from church (ice cream socials included) and camping. He always had a great smile and a twinkle in his eye for everyone he encountered. Sending prayers for comfort to the entire family during this difficult time.

Sending our deepest condolences! May God give you all comfort and strength! Our love and prayers are with you all! Tim and Susan Poolos

Renee, So very sorry about the loss of your husband! Sending you prayers and blessings! Ginny Mickish

Truly the greatest grandfather to ever be.
