Clyde Earl Williamson 93, of Monticello, KY, departed this life in the afternoon hours of November 25, 2012 at his home in Monticello, KY. He was born to the late Joseph Grant and Hester Elizabeth Hair Williamson in Northfield Community of Pulaski, Kentucky. On May 23, 1942 he united in marriage with his wife of 70 years, Edith Meece Williamson, who survives and lives in Monticello, KY. He joined the Army during WW II and served with honor in the European Theater of Battle of the Army Field Artillery. He was retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church while he residing here. He was presently a member of the Rectors Flat Baptist Church of Monticello, KY. Survivors include four daughters; Sylvia Turner of Monticello, KY; Elizabeth Landrum, Carol Irwin, and Joyce Hunt all of Kokomo, two sons; Arnold Williamson of Monticello, KY and Ronald Williamson of Port Charlotte, FL, fourteen grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, one step- grandchild, four step-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great-grandchildren. Clyde was the last surviving member of the Joseph Grant Williamson family, being preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Visitation will be from 9am – 11am Friday, November 30, 2012 at Victory Baptist Church 606 West Alto Rd. Services will follow at 11am also at the church with Pastor Michael Ennis officiating. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery. There will be full military honors provided by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo Military Rites team at the cemetery.
