Not sure what to say?

Codie, I have known you since you were a baby. I am so happy to be part of such a wonderful family. You have filled everyone's heart with laughter And love. I know we all have a special guardian angel now. We all miss you. Everyone that know or have met you are truly blessed. Until we meet again....

I still see you at five not. Wanting to go home with mom. Playing. In the. Yard, with all. The. Kids. Running untill dark. The. Time. Has since. Past, you. Grew. To be. A strong. Young. Man. With. A. Plan. You. Were. Always., thinking, always. Doing. The. Go. Getter. Your still. Doing. From. Above. Iam more. Than. Sure. Of that. Know. That, you. .are. missed. And. Loved. Until we. Meet. Again. Rest. In. Peace.

Michaela and I today

Codie was the adorable, quiet and polite little boy next door. He grew into a kind and gentle young man. My most vivid memory of him is how he was with my little girl, Michaela, she was about 4 years his junior. He treated Michaela like his own little sister. I could let her go outside with him to play, knowing I did not have to worry about her as long as Codie was with her. Codie was shy, but when he opened up, he was an old soul, full of insight and generosity, and a friendly loving spirit....

I grew up in Modesto for about the first 9 years of my life. The one thing I remember most was my next door neighnors, especially Codie. He was my favorite person growing up. I remember going over everyday excited to see him after school. And almost everytime i came over he'd pretend he was sleeping and scare me when i got close. I also remember all the fun times he would play hide and seek with me and would go swimming, and also would print out pictures of south park characters he created on...

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And the days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping,
We have you in our heart.

As the holidays near and I think about those who will only be with us in spirit, I am reminded of how temporary this life is. it is so important to make sure that we treat each other with the love and compassion that we would show on the last day of someone's life, because it just might be. I think of Codie all the time and love and miss him like crazy. Until we met again xoxo

I only met you once, and you seemed like a great guy, I love your family like my own, thank you for serving our country R.I.P

Codie I only knew you for a very short time. You would come pick up Travis from my house, when you could not find him. I knew you were a good man, making something out of your life. You left this world too soon. But you will never be forgotten, may you look down on your mother and bring her peace in her heart. R.I.P CODIE.
