Sir,

As current unit historian of the 303d MI Bn, it would have been an honor to have interviewed you and recorded audio of your time as commander. Thank you for your service. If any of your family have memorabilia they would like to donate, please reach out to me via email. If this occurs after March of 2021, I will put you in contact with the new historian.

COl Masters was my CO at HHC, 303rd Radio Research Battalion in Long Binh, RVN. I am honored to have known and to have served with him.

Dear Masters Family: I'm very sorry for your loss. He had quite a disginguished career. I believe COL Masters served with my uncle, MAJ Jack Bohr at Ft. Devens, MA. Rest In Peace, Colonel. Joe Bohr, SP4, HHC 303d RR Bn and 409th RR Detachment, RVN 10/66 to 10/67

This morning I learned the sad news of the Colonel's death. I worked for Colonel Masters when he was the Commanding Officer, 507th USASA Gp, in Augsburg, Germany, and stayed in touch over the years. The Colonel was perhaps the most influential man in my life - I learned so much from him about leadership, management ... he helped me mature and become a better person. I will miss him very much, but will, as I have done over the last 40+ years, always keep him in my thoughts and remember him...

we were just thinking about and talking about Col Masters last night and were sad to hear of his passing away. I worked with him in Augsburg at Flak Kaserne and had great respect for him and we remember his kindness to a Sargeant and an Aussie girl-the roles were reversed on their wedding day with Col Masters driving my wife to the church - sympathy to Cleo and the children

Dear Uncle Jack
“Do you want to see my new sanctuary, Jimmy? That's where I go to pray.”
Yes I do, said I, thinking, “Who is this three wars veteran who comes home after a life tour
Via two continents to build a cozy, but sacred, ancestral outpost to house the spirits of grandfathers,
brothers-in-arms, and family that he loved with a depth difficult to fathom-“what a man!”
Hearing me musically raising my own dad's praises at his memorial service, he surprised me with his...

My deepest sympathy to the Masters family for their loss. May God bless you all during this time of grief.

I will miss you always, good friend, great mentor and a wonderful person all around. You will always be in my heart. Rest in peace.

You were a big part of our lives and the Styron family will miss you
