Not sure what to say?

I forgot to include in my previously submitted memory that Coleen faithfully and cheerfully ministered to my Grandmother, Annie Lou Duke, as she was in a nursing home in Hoover. She visited every day, took her dirty clothes home and washed them, brought them back, along with snacks and gifts, and anything she needed, letting her feel loved and cared for. And I am certain that she did the same for her friend Evelyn, and others over the years. She did many things like this that most people were...

Coleen certainly had the gift of hospitality. She always made me and my family feel welcome and celebrated. We have many, many memories of time spent with her, my Uncle Mickey, and anyone else she could draw into her circle of love. She raised some great children and grandchildren and her legacy will go on for the rest of this century for sure! What a wonderful woman and a great example of Christ with skin on. I'll miss her, and always smile when thinking of her and the rest of the family.

"Aunt Coleen" was like a second mother to my future husband and me when we were at Samford University in the 1970's. We both loved her dearly! I know that my husband, Allan, was There to welcome her at the gate of Heaven!

Colleen was a long time friend of me and my family. She was one of the sweetest people ever. Colleen will be sorely missed. God be with you my friend!!!

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Duke family and friends in this time of grief. May the memories shared help you cope through this difficult time.

What an absolutely beautiful tribute to a wonderful woman who I´ll treasure forever in my heart. Aunt Coleen always acted like she was so excited to see Beth and me when we visited and would go out of her way to make us feel more than welcome in every way. I´ll always treasure our summer vacation stop-overs at Tim, Tambra, and Tonya´s! I miss our times together. Love and hugs to all.

To my most Precious Friend ever, Coleen! And to her Dear Family! She and they have not just been Friends, but have always been Family, too. She was the most loving and welcoming person ever. I know she is welcoming everyone into Heaven now! We have been friends over 50 years and will be Friends forever! Much, much love to all her dear family! Jo Anne

Such a beautiful memorial and beautiful lady. My love to you all and I will always cherish my memories of your mom.
