Not sure what to say?

Dear Jean and Family. So sorry to hear the news from Dick Hubert about Colin's passing. When I first met Colin we were both 3 year's old and thinking back we got into a few scrapes, sand tobogganing behind my old V8 at the spit, camping at Kaikoura, and general larking about. Colin you will be sadly missed. Rest in peace old friend.

To Jean and family. I met Colin at Teachers College in 1963 -64. I was from the country and as a city boy he took me under his wing and was a wonderful companion. We lost contact but his memory of a fun loving, loyal and genuine guy remains with me.

Dear Jean, Mark, Jayne and family,
so saddened to hear about Colin.
Have many great memories of Colin, teaching us about cricket, always being upbeat and his wicked sense of humour. Definitely one of the greats.
Thinking of you all xo

enjoy your peace Col

Just heard from our fellow hockey mates John Bate and Chris Maister about Colin passing on...remember his chirpy voice on the field and enjoyed playing alongside him..had lost touch since leaving NZ for Perth many years ago(now been in South Africa for 7 yrs..returning to Aus this year)..we enjoyed many years in the hockey scene..a great player he was..wonderful smile...nice way to remember a mate!cheers Alan(Ches)

So sorry about Colin, I am pleased that I got the opportunity to come and see Colin before Christmas still laughing and joking. I will always have lovely thoughts of Colin and remember all the memories shared ie hospital visits with work, the walk / hobble home up the hill the day of the earthquake and all the funny jokes he would send around the office even after he retired. Sadly missed a true gentle man. Jean my thoughts are with you and your family. Carolyn Alderdice (Spicers)
