Colin D. "Mack" McCormack

Today, I was thinking about the Chief, and I typed in his name, only to discover he had passed away. Colin and I became good friends during my tenure as the Personnel Director for the Town of New Milford. He would stop by, chat, and there were times when it was very cold out in the winter and he would make sure I made it safely to my car. He was a gentleman, a terrific Chief, and had an amusing sense of humor. We would give each other spelling tests, and he taught me how to memorize...

A terrific person who utilized his talents, abilities and commitments New Milford was lucky to have had him and he was lucky to have had Terry and family!

I am very sad to see the passing of Chief McCormack. As a fellow New Milford town employee , I was fortunate enough to work with him during my tenure as Parks & Recreation Director. He was the epitome of professionalism. Always willing to advise and help with expert knowledge and kindness. My deepest sympathies to Theresa, his family and friends. RIP Chief.
