I was a member of Salem United Methodist Church for a few years, and he served as the Pastor. However, he was more than just the Pastor to me. Pastor Colin was a kind and caring man. My family and I first met him when we moved to the area and visited Trinity United Methodist Church. Each time we entered the Church (usually late as we have 3 small children), his face would light up the room when he saw us enter the church for Sunday service. He would often call out our children by name and welcome them warmly (which they loved the attention). One time he even had the church sing a special birthday song for my oldest. He had a warm...

When I first moved here I had the honor to hear his sermons at Westminster Methodist church. He also was the preacher who preached at Salem-Windsor Mill. He helped the homeless and had booths set up there so they could have shelter at night. He moved to New Windsor and I moved away from the church. He will be missed. Tears are in my eyes as I send my regrets to his family.

Rev. Phillips was at Westminster United Methodist while my daughter was going through breast cancer treatment. He was very kind and even mentioned her name during his prayers from the pulpit. I enjoyed his sermons and am sorry to hear of his passing. My sympathy goes out to his family.
