Not sure what to say?

Dear Friends and family of Colly.

Thanks to all of you who sent messages of love and memories, and thanks to those who made the trip for the burial. It was a sunny pleasant day, and the simple service was as Brother Colly wished.

Colly was a Dear fellow who brightened our day, created beautiful music, was an inspiration to many, and most of all cared for us in his own way. His peace has finally come; his challenges have been replaced with the quiet, and our memories of...

Colly,
I was a fan of yours before I was a band-mate. You were funny, talented and an inspiration to many musicians growing up in the late 50's and early 60's in Minneapolis. Although I only got to play in the Bops a short time, I will always remember that time and cherish it forever. RIP my friend.
Larry Wiegand

Love you Colly and will miss you and your story telling, humor and music. You left us all with great memories. May you rest in peace.

Dear Colly .. Thanks for the memories of good times, good fun, wonderful music and the pleasure of being a part of your life. Capturing you, your talent, your wit, your character and your very soul with words is not possible. I do not have our Dad's gift or writing, our Mom's gift of understanding, or your gift of inspiring. In fact, my gift is actually what I received each time we tuned up and played a show. We drove thru the snow storms and the fog, we learned tunes for the next show in the...

Colly, what a gentle sweet soul you were, you always had a special spot in my Dad's heart, in fact all of our hearts. No one could play like you could, what a God given talent you had.
I know that you will find my Dad up in heaven and the two of you will
be jamming up a storm!
Susie Suneson LaMeyer ( Uncle Rog's daughter)

Leah,
It's been many, many years since we've seen each other, but I know how much your father meant to you. Please accept my deepest condolences on his passing and cherish every moment the two of you shared and know that he is watching over you.

Colly, I'll miss playing guitar with you, hearing your stories, your joking around. I love hearing about my dad financing you for your very first guitar. You were such a sweet man. Thank you for the great memories. Say hi to Daddy Del for me.

You were a dear friend, and I will miss you greatly. I won't forget all the laughs we shared and the wonderful music you made. Bill Kelly

Dear "Fa": Thank you...you were a great daddy...I love you so much and will miss you terribly. Things didn't turn out the way you'd planned for this life, but like you've said to me before, "the first pancake never turns out right" so I'd like to think that the next life will be like the "second pancake" and it'll come out just right. I find myself reflecting more on days gone by, than on days yet to come - (I guess I'm just getting old.) Please visit me in dream and when it is my turn,...
