Polly Bacchus, age 83, passed away Thursday morning.
Polly was born in Clem, Georgia to the late Luther Azz Phillips and Ruby Mae Rooks Phillips. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Poe Bacchus whom she married on June 10, 1950. Polly was a homemaker and a member of both Napier Avenue Church of God, where she served many years as church secretary, and Daystar Church of God. She was preceded in death by her son, Jackson Bacchus; and grandson, Andy Bacchus.
Polly is survived by her children, Gail Faulk (Charles) of Eatonton, Philip Bacchus (Margaret), Debra Bacchus Donaldson (Buddy), and Dennis Bacchus (Wendy), all of Macon, and Beverly Bacchus Kolnicky (Mike) of Riverside, Florida; daughter in law, Sheila Bacchus of Macon; brothers, Grady Phillips and Rudolph Phillips, both of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday in the Chapel of Crest Lawn with Reverend Lewis Stover, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Crest Lawn.
