JACOBS, Colleen Cynthia, 56, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Friday, November 18, 2011, at her home. She was born October 5, 1955, to Collin and Margaret E. (Balash) Shaw in Wilmington, Del., and had been a resident of Sebring since 1973, coming from Pemberton, N.J. She was an Environmental Specialist in the hotel industry and previously had worked at Thriftway and Publix. She is survived by her husband, Weldon T. Jacobs of Sebring; mother, Margaret E. Shaw of Avon Park, Fla.; children, Danyle (Daniel) Berish of Sebring, Weldon "Collin" (Anna) Jacobs of Lake Placid and Jake W. Jacobs of Avon Park; brother, John Shaw of Sunrise, Fla.; and grand-children, Haley, Mikyla, Hagen and Titan. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her memory to The American Cancer Society. I am deeply sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know Colleen will be dearly missed. What a blessing to know she is with the Lord and free from disease and pain. Colleen will be truely missed by many. We will miss the family get togethers with her cooking. She was so proud of her "Punk" grandbabies. They will have forever in their hearts. Love yall.
