Not sure what to say?

Dear Maxwell Family,
For most of my growing up years, I felt the influence and friendship of your parents. My dad was acquainted with Colleen's family, and they were our neighbors on Herbert Ave. Your dad spoke at my dad's funeral, and Colleen was my mom's visiting teacher. I remember many times stopping over at mom's in her later years when she didn't remember much and still, there was Colleen sitting in the kitchen visiting with her. What a kind thing to do. I have corresponded with...

My husband owned a nearby chocolate shop and we attended Monument Park Second Ward in the 1990's, enjoying the wonderful association with the Maxwell Family, and for me, primarily Colleen. I will always love Colleen and Elder Maxwell. When first I met Elder Maxwell and told him that I loved Colleen, he said, "I married up!"
Although I was in my early 40's when I lived near the Maxwell's, I couldn't help but think of Colleen as a second mother. She was so Christian, so lovely, and so...

Thank you Maxwell family for your example. We admire Colleen for her commitment to Elder Maxwell and to her fine children. We feel sad for your loss. We know her reunion with her husband and family is sweet. Much love to you all.

Colleen was one of the sweetest, most regal women I've ever known. I was disappointed to be out of town for her service. I have many fond memories of her and Elder Maxwell, and teenage years with the children. What a joy it must be for Neal to have his devoted companion once again by his side. May their great legacy continue to bless their posterity and those honored to have known them. They will never be forgotten.

As long as I have memory,
I will remember Jesus and
The Maxwells fondly.

Becky, Cory, Nancy, Jane - your tribute to your mother matched her elegance and testimony. Thank you so much for the lives you are leading and for honoring your magnificent parents whom I so dearly love. I would love to stay connected to your family and support you in any way possible.

She was truly a woman for all seasons. We'll miss you. Love ya Mike

As I read the Obituary I thought of the service of Elder Maxwell. I remembered my own father being called at Stake conference as a Seventy. Elder Maxwell attended this conference and as he walked up the aisle turned and said how are you and did shake my mother's hand. This gave my mother peace and a feeling of Hope. She had some particular concerns as a mother and knew the Lord was aware of her worries. Cherish the woman of faith who shares her husband with the masses. Whether it was at...
