Not sure what to say?

I am so pleased to know my Welsh puppy will carry the Limberlost genes that Colleen developed with great care. When you can look across a show ring at a line of Welsh Springers and pick out a dog with Colleens style and then see that it is a dog related to Colleen's dogs, that says a lot for her in the Welsh Springer world. That is a legacy that will stand the test of time. I miss her so much. I miss her lisp when she spoke and her giggles. Those who never met her don't know what they missed...

Still miss you, and always will. Every time I'm at a dog show, I think of you. Besides being a friend, you taught me a lot. Bless you.

To Colleen's family,
I only just opened my Starter Barks and saw that Colleen had passed. Colleen was my mentor in the Welsh Springer world. She sold me my first welsh, Mason , who was her 13th champion of record which helped her win the Tom-Joy throphy. If I ever had a question, Colleen was there with the answer. I remember when I won a 5pt major with Mason at a supported entry and Colleen walked up to me and gave me the biggest hug and congratulations. And when Mason finished his...

My very deepest sympathies to Colleen's family. I first met her 30 years ago when she worked at Arlington Park Vet Hospital. We both showed dogs and roomed together at many shows. We were in touch sporadically, as people who show and work are so busy. Since I hadn't heard from her in a while, I looked and saw she had passed, ironically, on my birthday.

Colleen was a good friend, and I'll keep her in my prayers.

With Best regards,

Leslee Weiner-Pope

Our sincere sympathy to Dr. O'Keefe's family. She was a very sweet lady and had a great love for animals and her profession. She cared about everything that she set her mind too.

Colleen was a neighbor, classmate and friend through grade school, high school and college. She was such a kind and cheerful presence with a radiant smile. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones. Genny Carrigan DiStasio, St. Louis, MO.

John and Family
Ruth and I were so sorry to hear of Colleen's passing. We were fortunate to get to meet her as she worked in Virginia. You could tell she loved her work and loved the animals.

My deepest sympathy to the whole family. Colleen and I were room-mates through veterinary school and became friends. I remember the trips to your house in Springfield and all the fun we had in school. She was always funny, energetic and had deep compassion for all animals. A good friend to all, human and animal.

Bob and Marge:

We would like to express our deepest sympathies on the loss of your daughter, Colleen.
