Not sure what to say?

I was honored of knowing such a beautiful soul. I enjoyed her stories, her smile and her laughter. I thank God i was one of the lucky ones who got to meet her. She will be missed. My deepest sympathy to her family. Rest in peace Colleen.

I had Mrs. Welch for three different classes at BMHS. I purposely chose classes that she taught because she was such a wonderful teacher. I never got tired of hearing about her time as a Gunnery Instructor in the Big One, WWII.

Mrs. Welch was a one if a kind teacher (BMHS class of 81) and her stories were always interesting and true to life. God speed and prayers to your family

My deepest condolences to the family of Colleen Welch. I did not get post that she passed till today. I'm in NorCal & wish I was able to attend her funeral. She was one of my favorite BMHS teachers. She was a kind lady. My heart is saddened by the news, and my only regret of not inviting her to any of our past reunions that I have had the opportunity to host/plan. Next year is our 40th. We will remember her & the others who have made a difference in our lives. God bless, Noreen Garin Helvie,...

One of my all time favorite teachers!

It was a pleasure teaching with Colleen at Bishop Montgomery High School; fondest of memories of a smart, caring, kind. fun, dedicated educator.
She was a blessing to our community.
Prayers and condolences to her family.
Please know that she will continue to always be a presence in your lives.

I had Colleen as a history teacher during my senior year at Bishop Montgomery High School. She always began each class with prayer. RIP.

I was a student of Mrs. Welch in 7th - 8th Grade at American Martyrs School, in 1979-81, and then again at BMHS a year or two later. So I was one of the lucky ones who had her twice! Between her and Mrs. Foxhoven, we were well-educated kids in Manhattan Beach! Of course I also saw her at AMC frequently. She was one of my favorite teachers, and she was also a wonderful and kind person. She instilled in me a great love of history and of civic engagement. She spent her life educating generations...
