Colm David O’Donovan, 58, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Dublin, Ireland, son of the late Elizabeth (Keavey) and William O’Donovan, Colm moved to Springfield in 1989. He worked professionally as a welder and was known by friends and family as a kind-hearted softie. He enjoyed fishing, his dogs and soccer, most notable Liverpool F.C. He leaves behind his son, Brannon and former wife Julie Richard of North Adams, girlfriend, Angela DeLeonardis of Springfield, three brothers; Pat, Liam and Peter of Dublin, Ireland and two sisters; Paula Cronan of Australia and Ursula O’Donovan of Dublin, Ireland. Calling hours will be held at The O’Brien Family Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St. South Hadley, MA 01075, on Saturday August 17 from 10:30-11:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow the calling hours at St. Annes Church in Chicopee at 12 noon. Burial will be at a later date in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA.
