Not sure what to say?

I'm glad I had the honor of meeting with and talking with Col. Waterhouse. I met him at Camp Smith, where I purchased his 280 page catalog of prints, which he personally autographed to me "Joe Burden". He is truly a Marine Corps Historic Treasure.

Semper-Fi,

Joseph O. Burden
USMC Veteran

To the Waterhouse Family, I extend my thoughts and prayers. Your father was a fine Marine and Friend.

Thom Eley, USMC (Ret), Alaska

Semper Fi, Col. Waterhouse. Your print of Lt. Archibald Gillespie is looking over my shoulder as I write. Semper Fi, Old Friend and War Horse.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Col Charles Waterhouse. As an artist in the Marine Corps art program, I had the opportunity to meet him on several occasions. He was a delight to talk to and always smiling and encouraging. His lively historical paintings of Marines of the past are known to Marines everywhere, and his wonderful sketches from Vietnam are a priceless visual record. Look at his art, and you will know that he loved the Marine Corps.

My dear Janine and Amy,
I adored your Dad and so admired him. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to watch him work in his studio. Not only were his paintings fantastic, his stories were the best!
I love you both and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,
Carol

My heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your Dad. I enjoyed the trips to the museum. The paintings and listening to your Dad tell his story. He was one of a kind.

I am so sorry for your loss. He joins many of his fellow Marines who are guarding heavens streets!

I had the honor and privilege of meeting Col. Waterhouse and his family back in 2000, at his museum in Tom's River. He graciously allowed me to touch the black sands of Iwo Jima surrounding his wonderful sculpture. As a Marine Desert Storm veteran, he personally signed several prints for me which are now displayed prominently throughout my home. From 'Storming the Seawall' of Tarawa to 'BAR Man' to my very own 'Desert Storm' print. I spent several wonderful hours there swapping sea stories...

As A Marine My Heart Go's Out To The Colonel And His Family. We Have One More Marine In Heaven.GOD BLESS
