Grandma you meant the world to me and I will always remember our Saturday visits talking, watching the Angels and Lakers games and your favorite show Sabado Gigante ( even though I only understood half of what they were saying). Concepcion Gomez(Concha,Connie)became like a mother(tia,,friend)to me.I was always looking forward to go to see her.The many times we stayed at her house, She and I would get up first,serve ourselves coffee and seat at the table for hours to talk. She was an easy person to talk to, and she had a very good sense of humor.It was easy for us to talk because we could do it all in Spanish. From all the Puente Families in Brownsville, please know that "Tia Concha" was a very exceptional person.
