Conner was special in every way. Thoughtful, kind, industrious, enthusiastic and sensitive. He stood out in every respect and I admired him. He was a beautiful boy and will never be forgotten. Right now the pain and sorrow is too great to bear - but he will take the proper place in our hearts and what will remain with us all is the best part of him - for me, that was his gentle heart.

When I came to Rustin High School in tenth grade as the new kid, Conner was the first to befriend me. Since that time we shared with each other every secret, big or small that either of us had.
