Life Reflections

A Time To Be Born:  Connie Sue Tigner Anderson was born on Wednesday, October 2, 1946 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to the parentage of George Henry Tigner and Aletha Dealy.

A Time To Plant

Connie attended and received her formal education from schools in the Greenville Independent School District - attending Frederick Douglass Elementary and George Washington Carver High School where she completed her studies.  She was a born again believer of Jesus Christ and was a long-standing member of Eastside Church of Christ where she served on the Hospitality Committee until her health began to diminish.  She worked in the healthcare field as an attendant for twenty plus years and kept her grandchildren and great grandchildren up to 2022, which she took great pride in doing so.  She took pleasure in cooking holiday meals for her large family, which brought her great joy.

A Time To Cherish

Connie leaves to cherish her precious memory her eight children - whom she raised alone as a strong, godly woman - Johnny Anderson, Jr, Desmond Anderson (Erecka), LaDayne Anderson (Barbara), Lesa Butler (Paul), Theresa Henry, David Goree Anderson (Karen), Edward Goree (Apryl) and Connecia Williams (Undra); two sisters, Barbara Evans (Steve) and Lynell Gassaway Washington; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Tigner and Aletha Dealy Gassaway, grandparents, Jim and Alberta Dealy, a sister, Patricia Barrett, three brothers, William Gassaway, Paul Gassaway and James Dealey, an uncle, Everett Lee Dealy, an aunt, Willie Opal Thomas and a great grandchild, Alijah Watkins.

A Time To Depart

Departed This Life:  June 18, 2025 at 1:45 PM she took her last breath on this side and her spirit went to be with the Lord.  Those who are left to mourn please don’t mourn like you have no hope but just know she’s been made whole, the healing that she had been seeking has finally arrived - she’s been made whole on the other side.
