Not sure what to say?

Remembering a great teacher of science and nature. We had plenty of great times at KATS Kamp and Great Plains Nature Center!

Wowww. So sorry to hear this. I'm 64 yrs old and just out of the blue, wondered if Camp Ni tah shi was still around. I google it and this is what I find. My grandmother worked for the Campfire Girls thing and my sister and I got to go to this camp. Alot of amazing memories of the camp. Wish they had something like this everywhere and could have shared this experience with my kids and grandbabies and other children.

I had the privilege of knowing Connie. I taught 3 of her children when they were 6th graders. They reflect Connie as wonderful people. Just now discovering Connie'so passing is very sad. Connie and I became quite close over those years, I will long to see her in heaven.

I'm sorry to hear about Connie. It's been a "few" years but I remember Connie and you girls out at Ni-Tah-Shi. From what i remember, she was always one to share a laugh and a smile. Keeping you in my thoughts.

I am saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul. Connie was a friend, a colleague, and a role model for me and many other nature interpreters in Kansas and the rest of NAI Region 6, which includes Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana. She taught us all SO much! I remember catching grasshoppers with her on the prairie, one of her favorite places, and then laying in the grass and looking at the clouds float by in the blue Kansas sky. I am glad she is finally at peace now, and my...

I am so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. She was a great teacher. She visited my classroom many times as I taught K -8, and later when I was working with preservice teachers at WSU. She touched the lives of many children, and provided the opportunity for them to appreciate and love nature. The skills of many teachers were enhanced by attending her many Project Learning Tree workshops and her many presentations for Kansas Association of Teachers of Science. She has left behind a legacy that...

Connie was a great friend over the years we were on staff together at NTS. We shared many adventures, some probably best left unmentioned. She is a part of many warm memories. I am saddened to learn of her passing. Peace and much love to her kids and all the family.

I am very sorry for your loss. My mother (Miss Cheryl) and I had many wonderful summers at Ni-Tah-Shi with her and you girls!! Keeping you all in my prayers.

Connie was a treasured friend during our years at NTS!! She was part of many adventures, some we can't talk about. Even though we lost touch after I left Wichita, I am deeply saddened by her passing. Much love to Jan (who was treasured friend of my daughter Kelly at camp).
