Not sure what to say?

I would like to say, that I am truly sadden by this. I've been seeing trends on social media about celebrities and others' meeting there favorite teachers again, after years, and I thought I would be able to contact her again, but I am truly heart broken. Mrs. McCauley was like a mother to me. When I transitioned from inner city of St. Louis, out to Shenandoah Valley Elementary for a better education, I had the private to have Mrs. McCauley as my teacher. My first year, I struggled with the...

Connie, who I knew at LSU, had boundless enviable energy.

God bless her soul! Three of my sons had her as a teacher! We all loved her! Such a special, caring teacher!

Connie taught all three of my children in 3rd grade at Shenandoah Valley Elementary School/ one son missed out on a full year because of her bout with cancer. She always expected the children to do their best- not be perfect - but their best. We remember her doing cartwheels for the kids. She also had all the kids out their hands over their hearts if they heard the word “Texas.” She was the best teacher they ever had.
I saw her several times recently and she always remembered me and my...

Dear Dan and family,
Connie was one of the first teachers I met at SVE. She was loved by all of the kids, parents and teachers! She was the funniest, spunkiest, most vivacious person! She will be missed my many.
Please accept my condolences and know that my heart is with you all in this time of sadness.
Fondly, Amy Fitter

I met Dan and Connie at Pathfinder church in 2005. Connie was full of life and loved our Lord passionately. She found delight in everyone she met. Many times I heard her talk of the many organizations that she volunteered at. She had a big heart for those less fortunate.
And her son's and grandchildren gave her so much joy.
You will be missed Connie.

Dan, I am so terribly sorry about the loss of your beautiful wife, Connie!! Of all the times spent with her, I have found that she was one of the most delightful, loving, beautiful and kind people I know! May God hold her and wrap His arms around you and your entire family!
