Send FlowersConnie Simpson, age 55, of Topeka passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 in Topeka. She was born February 3, 1952 the daughter of Melvin A. Abel and Lela M. Sieg Abel. She married Edward N. Simpson September 14, 1988 in Topeka, he survives. Other survivors include three sons, Gene Reeves Jr. of Topeka, Brian C. Johnson of Topeka and Edward N. Simpson Jr. of Topeka; a brother, Roy Abel; three sisters, Patty Morris of Topeka, Vicky Simpson of Newbern, N.C. and Cindy K. Bath of Topeka and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, November 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state from noon 9:00 p.m. Thursday with family visitation from 7:00 8:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Rochester Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.

To the Simpson and Abel families.I'm so sorry to hear of Connies passing.I can remember her from many years ago.When the girls would come down on card night to my grandparents(The MCclains) house.We'd play records or just talk.Later i found out my dad Leonard Bennett worked on their cars and my son Brian Adams went to school with Gene.She will be missed.Now she's with Sylvia.My prayers are with you all.God Bless you.Tutti Adams (Bennett)
