To the Sparrow Family,
My Mother, Dorothy Howe, and I were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Sparrow. He was a longtime friend of both of my parents. Mr. Sparrow was a kind and loving person whose faith in God was always apparent when you spoke to him. Additionally, he was a true gentleman who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. I know that my Dad, Mitchell Howe, and all of his buddies were waiting at Heaven's gate to welcome him home.
May God bless you in this...

It is with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Poncho. I had the privilege of working along side Poncho years ago in my Dad's construction business, and he taught me several life lessons that I still try to adhere to this day. I have not lived in Buchanan for almost 20 years, but when I come home to visit I would quite often see Poncho at Del's or the Stop-In, and he ALWAYS asked about my family and how we were all doing. He will be greatly missed!

Along the same lines as John Powell’s entry, my brother John and I have known Poncho our entire lives and he was a beloved member of our extended family. My earliest memories of Poncho revolve around various brick and block jobs working with my Father, Ray Ware, and my Grandfather, Frank Fringer – two men who thought the world of Poncho. Poncho always maintained a positive, forward-looking attitude and sincerely cared for my family like it was his own. Poncho was one of the kindest men I...

I have known Poncho all my life. He worked for my dad years and years ago-helped build his house, which I live in now, and my first house. He was more like family than a hired hand. We grew up with Poncho around and grew to know and love him. He was one of the most thoughtful and faithful people I have ever known and he will be greatly missed. I am sure angels are singing great praises as he joins them now.
