Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel - Wilmington Obituary

Conor Mahoney, 15, of Wilmington North Carolina, tragically passed away on June 29th after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding his skateboard. Even though Conor was taken from us too soon, he lived his life to the fullest every day with a smile as big as his face.

Conor attended Fort Meadow and Franklin Avenue Schools in Westfield, MA. Conor and his family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2017 when he was 5. He attended Bellamy Elementary School, Myrtle Grove Middle School, and was entering his sophomore year at Ashley High School. After high school, Conor hoped to attend Cape Fear Community College.

Conor will be remembered by his family, friends and anyone who met him as someone full of love, kindness, laughter, fun, and a smile that lit up the room. Conor was an I9 athlete playing soccer and basketball, and loved flag football.

Conor loved visiting his family in Westfield for the holidays and spending July 4th on Cape Cod each summer riding the waves. These times were spent building puzzles, playing board games, cards, corn hole, beach bocce and beach baseball. He loved laughing and competing with his family.

Conor is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and Marcela, his brother Colin and half-brother Daniel Mahoney Jr, half-sisters Kathryn Delgado and Claire Lebeau as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. Conor will also be missed by his relatives in the Czech Republic, Marcela’s Mother, Alena, her father Petr, her sister Petra and brother Viktor. Conor was predeceased by his half-brother Timothy Mahoney.

The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Conor Mahoney will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to

Not sure what to say?

I remember Conor from Franklin ave. He was in 1st maybe even 2nd grade while I was in kindergarten or 1st grade. He was a funny kid and used to brighten up each room with his bright smile when he walked in. Teachers talked about how great of a kid he was. My condolences go out to Conor's family and everyone else having a hard time with this loss and may he rest in peace

I am so sorry for your loss. So handsome, that smile.....May God bless your family.
