I will never forget traveling through Europe with you oh so many years ago and you showed up at the airport carrying a hatbox. Seriously--it was so you! And I remember the Immigration officer who called you Scarlett O'Hara when he saw it--right before he had you searched. (That's a whole other story!) Connie will never be forgotten! She was a true inspiration, a bright light and one of the most generous and positive spirits I have ever met. I feel privileged to have known her and I will always love her. Journey on, sweet CC, and be at peace.

My favorite memory of Connie was when she told me she wanted a new bike but it had to be white. I said "why white"? She told me "so I'll look tan riding it".

So very sorry to hear of Connie's passing. Her mom Gertie and my mom Fay were the best of friends. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Charlie, John and family.
