Connie's, @1972 ~ Travel in limitless wonder, old friend.

Connie laughing

My deepest condolences to her family and friends. Connie taught me my first ceramic class and was the inspiration with no limits of ones capability. Her laughter was always a joy to hear. I will greatly miss her smile and charm. She shared her knowledge with us all.

Connie's Remembrance ceremony was a bright, joyous gathering of her friends, her art, and her music. It captured the spirit of her own poem:
Awed and shaken,
I can't escape the power
from which my life springs.
Oh furious joy,
I beg your mercy.

Connie was a longtime active member of the Portland State University Faculty Association. As President of the union, I came to know Connie through our many telephone conversations related to the working conditions of adjunct faculty. She was ever alert to the various obstacles that hampered teachers who were committed to delivering their very best to students. We miss her very much.

Connie was a delightful person, very appreciative of the little things and full of life, she will be greatly missed. We keep her family in our thoughts and prayers,
